Owner/Crafter/Therapist/Teacher
she/her pronouns
Leeann's very first job was working in a fabric store. Since then she has pursued a career in creative and helping professions. She is a trauma-informed licensed clinical social worker, lifelong self-taught crafter, and thoughtful teacher. Leeann is a licensed clinical social worker and a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin School of Social Work. She was also the co-founder of Broads and Boards, a non-profit that empowered women and non-binary individuals in woodworking.
Leeann has been crafting her entire life. At a young age her mom taught her to sew, knit, and cross stitch. When Leeann was 10 years old she was diagnosed with bone cancer. During that time crafting became a powerful tool for coping with stress and trauma. Since then Leeann's curiosity has inspired her to learn almost every craft. She is passionate about supporting and empowering others with both her clinical and crafting experience. She is also the owner of Craftwell Fabrics, a community fabric thrift store that relies on donations to increase access to crafting supplies while reducing waste.
